Scope and contact

This policy explains data use in EbookIndie PDF Tools, including image compression and the installed web app. Heru Wijaya manages the service and privacy requests from Kuala Pembuang, Seruyan, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. Buying ebooks or using other EbookIndie services is covered by their respective notices.

PDFs, images, and generated files

The current tools process the files you choose in your device’s browser. PDF and image contents are not uploaded to EbookIndie’s server by the processing tools. The browser uses working memory and temporary previews to produce your download; we do not provide a server-side archive of your input or output documents.

Passwords entered in Protect PDF and Unlock PDF, signature images, drawings, and added text are processed locally and are not sent to our server. They are not saved as a personal signature library. Password fields are cleared after successful processing; reset or close the page to discard the working session in these password tools. Edit PDF and Sign PDF retain recovery drafts as described below.

Download your result before closing or reloading the page. Files you save remain in your device’s download location until you manage them. An installed shortcut does not create cloud document storage. If you send a document to support yourself, that separate communication is handled as support data.

PDF Viewer and Android sharing

The viewer saves a document fingerprint, last position and bookmarks in this browser. It does not save a permanent library of your PDFs. Clear the document history in View settings, or clear browser data to remove this information. Files received through Android Share, or transferred when you change the viewer language, are held temporarily in device storage and removed when received. Unopened transfers expire after five minutes and are cleaned when the app next runs.

Android sharing requires the installed app and a ready local receiver. If receiving is unavailable, use Open PDF. An internet connection is needed to open the viewer; the service does not promise full offline access.

Usage statistics

We record limited page-visit, like, and successful link-copy events to understand tool usage and improve the service. Records contain the tool, event type, time, and a random page-event identifier. The activity table does not store document contents, filenames, raw IP addresses, or a persistent visitor identity. Counts are events, not unique people; removing a like does not erase an earlier recorded like event.

Activity records older than 120 days are removed in bounded batches as the service is used. Temporary IP-derived hashes help limit abusive requests. These internal statistics are separate from advertising measurement. We honor the supported Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals and the statistics preference below.

Browser storage and technical data

The like button stores your choice locally on this browser. Sharing copies only the public page link, not your document. The statistics opt-out cookie lasts up to one year; clearing browser data can remove this choice and locally saved likes.

Hosting and security providers necessarily process connection data such as IP address, requested page, browser information, and security logs. An approximate country from the network is used to select the initial donation method; you can change the method manually. We do not ask for GPS location for this choice.

Local recovery drafts

Edit PDF and Sign PDF automatically save the source PDF, added objects and changes in this browser on this device, without uploading them. Indonesia and English use the same local drafts on the same website address. Up to 3 drafts per tool, 100 MB each and 200 MB overall are retained until you delete them or browser storage is cleared. Drafts are not a cloud backup or a password-protected vault; other people using this browser profile may open them. Delete drafts on shared devices.

Advertising when enabled

When Google advertising is enabled and available, Google and its partners may use cookies, IP addresses, device identifiers, and similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, and personalize ads based on prior visits to this and other websites where permitted. Their advertising measurement is separate from our internal usage counts. Relevant consent choices must be provided where required; an empty ad position does not mean a document was uploaded.

QRIS and PayPal donations

QRIS donations are completed in your chosen bank or wallet app; PayPal opens its own page. These providers process the information needed for the donation under their own policies. The recipient may see transaction information provided by them. EbookIndie PDF Tools does not ask you to enter your payment PIN, OTP, or full card details into the tools.

Providers, purposes, and retention

We use hosting and security providers to operate the website; Google Gmail handles support email. Connection and support data may be processed outside Indonesia, including in the United States and other provider locations. Providing requested tool functions and support, protecting the service, meeting applicable obligations, and consent where required are the purposes and grounds for relevant processing.

Support correspondence and donation records are kept as needed for the request, accountability, or applicable obligations. Provider logs and transaction retention follow the relevant provider and purpose; the 120-day activity retention does not apply to all such records. We do not sell your document contents.

Contact us to ask about data use or request access, correction, deletion, or other applicable privacy rights. Describe the request with the minimum relevant information. We may need proportionate identity checks; legal or dispute-related retention can limit deletion. We will explain the handling and any limitation.
