Back to top ↑Scan to PDF
Scan to PDF turns paper captured with your camera or JPG, PNG and WebP photos into a PDF on your phone. Edges, perspective, whitening and drafts are processed on your phone without uploading documents. On a computer, scan the QR code to open the tool on your phone.
- Input
- JPG, PNG, WebP
- Total per task
- 100 MB · 30 files maximum
- Open the tool on your phone. If you are on a computer, scan the QR code with your phone camera or copy the link. No sign-in or app installation is required.
- Choose Regular scan or Long document. Start scanning and allow the camera, or choose photos from your device.
- Keep the whole sheet in view. Auto fills the red shutter ring when edges are steady, then takes a photo. Choose Manual or press the red shutter to capture yourself. Tap the paper to help detection.
- Each camera photo opens Colour and background. Choose Original, Whiten, Black & white or Brighten, adjust whitening, contrast and brightness, then Apply. Cancel keeps the photo. Adjust edges from Edit page; the round camera icon at the top right adds the next photo.
- Open PDF settings to choose paper, margins, orientation and quality. Create, download and open your PDF.
- For long documents, save each part PDF, choose Save part and continue, then combine all or download separate parts.
Example use
Scan a multi-page letter, check the edges, select A4 Standard, and download and open your PDF.
Settings to know
Up to 30 pages or 100 MB of photos per part; each photo up to 20 MB, 24 megapixels and a 12,000-pixel side. A4, F4 215×330 or 210×330 mm, A3, A5, Letter, Legal and custom 50–420 mm; margins 0–30 mm. Standard about 200 ppi and High 300 ppi, limited by source detail. Apply to all, current or selected pages. Combined PDFs up to 100 MB/1,000 pages; drafts up to 250 MB. Auto or Manual capture with colour review after each photo. Auto waits for steady edges and a changed sheet; the manual shutter remains available for similar pages. Apply colours to this page or all pages in this part. Reset colours keeps cropping and rotation; The Back to camera icon resumes capture. Thumbnails reflect applied edits. Hiding controls also hides zoom buttons; pinch and pan remain available. Tapping helps select the document; it does not guarantee lens focus.
Your download
A PDF with your page order and paper dimensions. A draft is saved in this browser only after a successful status. Open the result in PDF Viewer (up to 50 MB) or share when supported. Finalized parts retain the PDF, not source photos and their edit history. The result stays on your phone and is not sent to your computer automatically. Transfer it yourself if needed.
Tips and common issues
If the camera is denied, check permissions or choose photos. Uncertain edge detection keeps the full photo and marks Check edges. Whitening cannot restore obscured or heavily blurred text. Save smaller parts if capacity is limited. Clearing browser data can remove drafts; save PDFs before long breaks. A recent Chrome with Worker, OffscreenCanvas and IndexedDB is required; OCR is not included. If edges are not found, tap the paper or adjust manually after capture. Check thin text and stamps after whitening; lower its strength or use Original if detail is lost. If Auto keeps waiting, press the shutter or select Manual. After capture, replace the sheet; very similar pages can be captured manually. To replace an old draft, select Start a new scan and confirm deletion; Cancel preserves the draft. The QR only opens a link; it does not pair devices. Use JPG to PDF for photos already on your computer.
PDF Viewer
Read PDFs, find and copy text, use full screen, and save local reading positions and bookmarks without an account.
- Input
- Total per task
- 50 MB · 1 files maximum
- Choose Open PDF or drop one PDF. Enter its password when prompted.
- Use navigation, 10–300% zoom, search, and the Pages, Contents and Bookmarks panels.
- Bookmark positions you need. Reopen the same PDF and choose Resume reading. Download the original or print when supported.
- On Android, install the app with Chrome. Choose one PDF in a file app, tap Share, and choose EbookIndie.
Example use
Read a report, bookmark important sections, and select the same PDF again to resume at your last position.
Settings to know
One PDF up to 50 MB and 1,000 pages; up to 200 bookmarks per document. Continuous scrolling, single page, or two pages on wider screens. Fit width/page, Ctrl + mouse wheel, pinch, view rotation, full screen or Focus mode. Hide and restore toolbars and panels. Right-click or use the three-dot menu for contextual actions. While reading, only the PDF area scrolls; the header shows the filename and a close button. Closing requires confirmation before returning to Open PDF. Dismiss messages such as print guidance with their close button.
Your download
Downloads preserve the original PDF. Your last position and bookmarks stay in this device browser; they are not embedded in the PDF or synchronized to other devices.
Tips and common issues
Scans without a text layer cannot be searched or copied; OCR is not included. Use Focus mode if full screen is unsupported. Clearing browser data removes bookmarks. If Android sharing is missing, reopen the app or use Open PDF. On iPhone use Open PDF from Files. An internet connection is needed to open the viewer.
Compress PDF
Reduce PDFs for uploading, email, or storage while checking that the result remains readable.
- Input
- Total per task
- 200 MB · 2 files maximum
- Select PDFs and check their original size. Tap a preview to enlarge it; use + to add files from your device.
- On phones, tap Settings beside Add files, choose the method, compression level and target size, then Apply. On laptops, use the right panel.
- Choose Compress PDF, compare the sizes and review the result, then download. Help is available in the workspace; adjust settings to retry without reselecting files.
Example use
For a CV or scanned certificate with a 500 KB upload limit, start with text optimization and check readability if you use image-page compression.
Settings to know
Optimization keeps text and vectors. The stronger image-page method renders pages as images. A target such as 200 KB or 500 KB applies to each PDF. Previews support zoom down to 10%, Ctrl + mouse wheel and two-finger pinch. On file/page cards, open Enlarge preview or Enlarge first; zoom does not change the output file. On phones, Cancel, × or Back closes settings without applying temporary changes. The summary shows active options; you can process directly with the defaults. Enlarged previews use a clean view: pinch to zoom, drag to pan, or use Ctrl + mouse wheel and double-click. Keyboard +/− zooms and 0 fits the page. Compact navigation is available for multipage PDF file previews. File cards are arranged up to three per row, with incomplete rows centred. Enlarged previews use a translucent black background to show the paper edges clearly; pinch and pan remain available. On phones, the header shows the filename or tool name; close asks for confirmation. Help, Settings and Add share one row. File count and total size appear above the process button. On laptops, compact cards fit the available width and settings stay on the right. Only the card list and long settings scroll.
Your download
One input produces a compressed PDF; multiple PDFs are packaged in a ZIP. If compression does not make a file smaller, the result may use a copy of the original.
Tips and common issues
A size target is not guaranteed. Already compact PDFs may barely change. Image-page compression can remove selectable text, links, and interactive forms. Check logos and text before using the result.
Compress Images
Make JPG, PNG, or WebP images smaller for uploads and sharing.
- Input
- JPG, PNG, WebP
- Total per task
- 40 MB · 20 files maximum
- Select one or more images.
- Set a size target, JPG or WebP output, and the longest image edge.
- Process, check image clarity, then download the result.
Example use
For a form photo with a 200 KB limit, set a size target and dimensions, then check that faces or text remain clear.
Settings to know
Choose automatic sizing, a preset, or a custom target. The longest-edge setting limits dimensions; original size retains dimensions where possible. Previews support zoom down to 10%, Ctrl + mouse wheel and two-finger pinch. On file/page cards, open Enlarge preview or Enlarge first; zoom does not change the output file. After selecting a file, open Help from the workspace. Settings sit on the right on computers. On phones, tap Settings beside the add-files button. Apply saves your choices; Cancel, ×, or Back restores the previous choices without removing files. A summary of the active settings appears below the file-count row; the process button stays accessible.
A single image downloads directly; multiple results are packaged in a ZIP. Output uses the selected JPG or WebP format.
Tips and common issues
Very small targets can reduce clarity or dimensions. JPG cannot retain transparency. Choose WebP when transparency matters and check that your destination accepts it.
Merge PDF
Combine PDFs in the file or page order you need.
- Input
- Total per task
- 100 MB · 25 files maximum
- Select the PDFs to combine; use Add files when needed.
- Choose Files or Pages view and arrange the previews.
- Choose Merge PDF, check the resulting order, then download.
Example use
Combine a CV, cover letter, and certificates in the order requested by the recipient. Check the page sequence before sending.
Settings to know
Files arranges whole PDFs; Pages interleaves pages from different PDFs. Drag cards with a mouse, or briefly hold a preview then drag on a phone. Keyboard users can focus a card and use arrow keys, Home, or End. The magnifier opens a preview; × removes a file. Long names use one line with an ellipsis. Phones show three cards per row; desktop columns adapt to the available space. Sort A–Z sits in the desktop toolbar and the phone settings dialog. Reset page order becomes available after a custom page arrangement. Apply saves dialog choices; Cancel, ×, or Back restores the previous order. Help uses an icon on phones and text on desktop. Source count and size appear above the Merge PDF button on phones, or below the right panel heading on desktop. The result summary shows one PDF and the total pages. The translucent black preview supports pinch/pan, Ctrl + mouse wheel, double-click, +/− for zoom and 0 to fit the page. Multipage PDF previews include page navigation. Adjust settings & retry keeps the source files and order without selecting them again. Original is the default paper size and keeps each page’s size and orientation. Choose A4 (210 × 297 mm), F4 (210 × 330 mm), A3 (297 × 420 mm), Letter, or Custom size (10–2,000 mm per side) in the desktop sidebar or phone settings dialog. This applies to all output pages. Content fits proportionally in the centre without cropping; text is not converted to an image. Automatic orientation follows each page; Portrait or Landscape makes the paper orientation uniform. Thumbnails and enlarged previews reflect the selected paper size. Apply saves the size; Cancel, ×, or Back restores the previous choice.
Your download
One merged PDF containing the pages in the selected order.
Tips and common issues
If pages are misplaced, return to the settings and inspect Pages view. Damaged files or unsupported protected PDFs may need to be prepared again in their original application.
JPG to PDF
Turn photos and images into a PDF that is easy to share.
- Input
- JPG, PNG, WebP
- Total per task
- 40 MB · 20 files maximum
- Select JPG, PNG, or WebP images and arrange their order.
- Choose paper size, orientation, and margins; images fit inside each page without cropping.
- Create the PDF, inspect each page in the preview, then download.
Example use
Combine photos of assignments or documents into an A4 PDF. Adjust image order and margins to avoid cutting off content.
Settings to know
Paper sizes include A4, A5, F4, Letter, and Legal. Match orientation and margins to your document. Previews support zoom down to 10%, Ctrl + mouse wheel and two-finger pinch. On file/page cards, open Enlarge preview or Enlarge first; zoom does not change the output file. The preview menu (three dots, right-click or long-press) provides shortcuts to the same settings and zoom as the main controls. Paper previews follow size, orientation and margins. Images fit without cropping. Reorder by mouse drag, hold and drag on a phone, or focus a card and use keyboard arrows.
Your download
One PDF containing the images in your chosen order.
Tips and common issues
Low-resolution images may still look blurred when enlarged. Adjust paper size and orientation if an image looks too small, then check the preview.
Split PDF
Extract selected pages or split a PDF into several parts.
- Input
- Total per task
- 100 MB · 1 files maximum
- Select one PDF and wait for the page previews.
- On phones, open the Settings icon; on desktop, use the right panel. Choose Ranges, Pages, or Size and select the parts you need.
- In the dialog, choose Apply, review the previews and summary, then choose Split PDF and download.
Example use
Extract just the certificate pages from a longer document, such as pages 3–5, without including other pages that are not needed.
Settings to know
Ranges mode offers From–To fields or a fixed page count per PDF. In Pages → Select pages, tap previews or enter numbers such as 1-3, 5; merge selected pages if you want one PDF. Size mode splits pages in order without reducing quality; an oversized page may need compression first. Previews support zoom down to 10%, Ctrl + mouse wheel and two-finger pinch. Tap the magnifying glass to preview a page without changing its selection; zoom does not change the output file. On phones, all settings are in a dialog; Cancel, × or Back restores the choices from before it was opened. Ranges show the first and last pages side by side; … represents the pages between them. Previews and settings scroll independently, with the process button kept within reach. On phones, the header shows ×, the filename, a Help book icon, and Settings on the right. The output summary is centered above the previews; the original page count and file size stay above Split PDF. To replace the PDF, press × and confirm exit to return to file selection; Cancel keeps your document and settings.
Your download
A single result is available with Download PDF; multiple PDFs are packaged with Download ZIP. The result page shows the filename, PDF/page counts, and output size. Use Adjust settings & retry to reuse the same PDF without selecting it again. Download your result before opening another tool under Continue with….
Tips and common issues
Ranges must stay within the document's page count. Splitting by size cannot always make a single oversized page meet the target.
Organize PDF
Reorder, rotate, remove, insert, or resize PDF pages on your device.
- Input
- Total per task
- 100 MB · 25 files maximum
- Select PDFs. Use + to add a PDF or insert a blank page.
- Drag cards to arrange pages; use the rotate, remove, or magnifier icons.
- Check the order, press Save PDF, and download the result.
Example use
Tidy up scans that are upside down or out of order. Rotate pages, remove blank pages, and add a missing scan.
Settings to know
On a phone, briefly hold a preview before dragging; swipe normally to scroll. Undo/Redo icons sit on the left and Help/settings/+ on the right. The settings gear offers sort, reverse, interleave, reset, page size, and sources. Apply keeps changes; Cancel, ×, or Back restores the arrangement, size choices, and history from before the dialog opened. Desktop settings stay in the right panel. Default Original keeps source sizes; choose A4, F4 210 × 330 mm, A3, Letter, Legal, or Custom 10–2,000 mm. Apply to all pages or current card numbers such as 1, 3–5, including blanks. Orientation follows each page or uses Portrait/Landscape; content fits proportionally in the centre without cropping. Press Apply size on desktop or Apply in the phone dialog. Undo/Redo covers order, rotation, removal, insertion, and size; a new action clears the redo branch. The + menu inserts blanks at the start, after a card number, or at the end, using the nearest page size or a paper preset. The magnifier opens a preview with pinch, pan, or Ctrl + scroll.
Your download
One PDF with the applied order, rotations, and page sizes. Unselected pages and source files remain intact.
Tips and common issues
Keep at least one page. Size selection uses card order at the time of applying; check numbers after reordering. Custom dimensions must be 10–2,000 mm per side. Use Undo/Redo to review changes and keep original documents.
PDF to JPG
Save PDF pages as JPG images.
- Input
- Total per task
- 25 MB · 2 files maximum
- Select PDFs and choose the pages to convert; leave the selection blank for all pages.
- Choose an image resolution: 100, 150, or 200 dpi for your needs.
- Process, inspect the result, then download the image or ZIP.
Example use
Save selected pages as JPG when a destination portal requests images. Check that the output size and format meet its requirements.
Settings to know
Enter a range such as 1-3, 5. Higher resolution creates larger images and requires more device memory.
JPG images of the selected pages; multiple images are packaged in a ZIP.
Tips and common issues
The output is an image, so text cannot be selected as it could in a PDF. Reduce resolution or process fewer pages if your device struggles.
Watermark PDF
Add a text or logo mark to PDF pages.
- Input
- Total per task
- 100 MB · 2 files maximum
- Select PDFs. On a phone, open Settings; on a laptop, use the right panel. Choose a text or image watermark.
- Enter text or choose a logo; set position, size, opacity, rotation, layer, and pages.
- Review the preview, apply the watermark, then download.
Example use
Mark a document with text such as “Application copy”. Choose an opacity that keeps the main text readable.
Settings to know
Logos support PNG, JPG, or WebP. Repeat the watermark, restrict it to a page range, or place it over or under the PDF content. Files shows one card per PDF; Pages shows document pages. Select a card, then the magnifier to inspect the watermarked preview. Pinch or use Ctrl + scroll to zoom, then drag; × or Back closes the preview. Selecting a card or view does not change the watermark range. Help, Settings, and Add share one row with Files/Pages. In the phone popup, Apply saves changes; Cancel, ×, or Back restores the previous text, logo, and settings. Remove a source using × on its Files card. Zoom does not affect the output.
Your download
Watermarked PDFs; multiple PDFs produce a ZIP.
Tips and common issues
White backgrounds or images can cover an underlay. Use the upper layer and adjust opacity. A watermark is a visual mark, not guaranteed protection against copying.
Page Numbers
Add page numbers and optional headers and footers to PDFs.
- Input
- Total per task
- 100 MB · 2 files maximum
- Choose one or more PDFs. Switch between Files and Pages to review your sources.
- Open Settings and choose the first number, range, position, and style. On mobile, Apply saves your choices and Cancel restores them.
- Select a card and its magnifier to check the printed number. Process, download the PDF or ZIP, and open the result.
Example use
Number a report from the appropriate starting number. Use a page range when the cover should remain unnumbered.
Settings to know
Facing pages alternates left/right placement; Cover skips the first page. From/To refer to the original PDF page order: for example, source page 3 can start at printed number 1. {n} is the printed number; {p} is the total page count of each PDF. Optional headers and footers support top, bottom, left, and right edges. Enlarged previews support pinch, pan, page navigation, and Back. On mobile, Cancel, ×, or Back in Settings restores previous choices.
Your download
Numbered PDFs with headers and footers when enabled; multiple PDFs produce a ZIP.
Tips and common issues
To skip a cover, start the range at page 2. The first number applies to the first page in the range. Check margins so added text does not overlap your document.
Edit PDF
Edit supported original PDF text, then add annotations, images, shapes, stamps, visual signatures and forms. Everything is processed on your device.
- Input
- Total per task
- 50 MB · 1 files maximum
- Select one PDF and a page. The main groups are Annotate, Shapes, Insert, Edit Text and Forms.
- For original text, choose Edit Text and tap a text boundary. Type the replacement on the page or in Properties; empty the text or choose Delete element to remove it. Choose a replacement font and left, center, right or justified alignment. Use the alignment icon buttons and choose Line spacing from 1–3 times for paragraphs.
- Tap or drag to add other tools. For polygons and polylines, tap each point, then Finish shape or Enter. Choose Rubber stamp for standard or custom stamps; Signature supports drawing, typing or image upload.
- In Forms, create text, checkbox, radio, list, dropdown or signature fields. Field names must be unique. Fill existing fields shows editable fields directly on the page.
- Open Pages to rotate 90° left or right, or delete a page using the icons below its thumbnail. The last page cannot be deleted. Undo and Redo cover both page changes and annotations.
- Use Layers and comments, Undo, Redo and Properties to review. On mobile, scroll the tool row to reach more tools and close panels after changing settings. Choose Save PDF, review, then download.
- When returning to this tool, choose Continue on a draft to restore your last work in the same browser.
Example use
Change a sentence, remove incorrect text, add review comments and create fillable fields.
Settings to know
Six font families and 24 genuine styles; bold, italic, underline, strikeout, links and four alignments including justified text. Up to 2,000 characters per box, 4–200 pt, 200 edits and 40 history steps. Shapes include rectangles, ellipses, arcs, polygons, clouds, lines, polylines, arrows and symbols. Highlights, underline, strikeout and squiggly follow selected text; freehand highlighting works on images. Notes, callouts, insertion/replacement suggestions, standard/custom stamps, dates, attachments up to 10 MB, and PNG/JPG/WebP images up to 10 MB or 40 megapixels. Zoom 10–300%, single/two-page layouts, fit page/width and hand panning. The Pages panel includes thumbnails, PDF outlines and new bookmarks saved in the result. Four alignment icons: left, center, right and justified. Line spacing: 1, 1.15, 1.25, 1.5, 2, 2.5 or 3 times. Rotate and delete pages directly in the editor; rotation turns content, annotations and form fields together. Previews support zoom down to 10%, Ctrl + mouse wheel and two-finger pinch. On file/page cards, open Enlarge preview or Enlarge first; zoom does not change the output file. Color palettes, custom color and HEX are available for text, strokes and fills. Close the secondary toolbar with × and reopen it using a main tab. Delete removes the selected object; in text fields it deletes characters. Right-click or long-press an object to open its menu. Shift + click or Select multiple selects a group. Unified text properties and the color palette stay in sync with the sidebar. Duplicate on the same page, all pages or a range; copies remain independent. Position locking, copy formatting, layer order, Delete and Undo are available. The header shows the filename and a close button; scrolling stays within the document or panels. Hide top/bottom controls and panels, use Focus mode or fullscreen, then restore controls with the small floating buttons. Right-click or long-press blank space or an object to access tools and properties; thin separators divide actions. Copy/Cut, then Paste on another page or Paste here. On phones, use Select multiple, then Done selecting to move objects together. Pinch directly on pages or objects without creating strokes. Closing or replacing a PDF asks for confirmation; failed saves keep your work open. Back closes menus or focus mode first, then asks before leaving a document. Cancel keeps your work; Save and exit sends the result to browser downloads; Exit without saving deletes that draft.
Your download
One edited PDF. Changed original text is removed from page content and replacement text is embedded with the selected font. New form fields and entered values remain interactive; attachments are embedded. Visual signatures are not certified digital signatures; blank signature fields can be signed in a PDF reader supporting certificates. Editor layers are not a project that resumes after closing the page. The PDF follows the retained pages and their rotations. Fields and links or bookmarks targeting deleted pages are cleaned up; old page labels are replaced by sequential numbering.
Tips and common issues
Scanned/image text requires OCR. Text in shared PDF blocks, invisible text, mirrored text and certain skewed transformations cannot yet be safely edited. Replacement fonts may differ from the original. Widen boxes if text wraps. Unlock encrypted PDFs with your password first. Keep the original; editing may invalidate existing digital signatures. Use Undo to restore an accidentally deleted page before download. If a text box is too tall, reduce its font size or line spacing. Drafts locally retain the source PDF, changes and page position: up to 3 drafts per tool, 100 MB each and 200 MB total. Undo history and clipboard are not saved. Drafts may disappear when browser data is cleared, storage is evicted or private browsing ends. Check the Draft saved message and download important results. Do not edit one draft in two tabs.
Sign PDF
Place a visual signature on a PDF using a typed name, an image, or a hand-drawn signature.
- Input
- Total per task
- 50 MB · 1 files maximum
- Select a PDF. Use the left thumbnails or bottom arrows to change pages.
- Choose Text or Date, then tap the page. Double-click text or choose Edit text; alignment and line spacing are in Properties.
- Choose Signature to open the drawing area. After drawing, press × to close and insert the signature at the center of the visible page area. Closing an empty canvas inserts nothing.
- Select the signature to adjust palette or HEX color, stroke width, position and size. Uploaded images keep their original colors.
- Use Ctrl + mouse wheel or a two-finger pinch for 10–300% zoom, or Fit page/width. Delete removes the selected object; while typing, Delete removes characters. Ctrl + Z undoes changes.
- Choose Save PDF at the bottom or in the menu, review and download the result. Start again is in the menu and asks for confirmation.
- When returning to this tool, choose Continue on a draft to restore your last work in the same browser.
Example use
Place a visual signature on a form that accepts this type of signature.
Settings to know
Text up to 2,000 characters; left, center, right and justified alignment and 1–3× line spacing. Text boxes fit content until their width is changed. Drawn signature strokes support color and thickness changes. PNG, JPG or WebP up to 10 MB and 40 megapixels. Up to 200 elements. Changes are retained only for this session. Close the drawing popup to place the result in the visible page center; an empty popup adds nothing. Right-click or long-press an empty page area to add text, an image/stamp, a signature or date, or use Paste and Paste here. Cut (Ctrl+X), Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) work across pages in this document. Choose Select multiple, tap objects, then Done selecting; drag the selection or its four-way handle to move it together. Thin separators divide the menu, which includes pages, properties, zoom, Save and Start again. Hide top and bottom controls separately; Focus mode or fullscreen keeps a small menu available. Closing the document asks for confirmation. Save and exit prepares the result and starts a download; check that it is saved on your device. Back closes menus or focus mode first, then asks before leaving a document. Cancel keeps your work; Save and exit sends the result to browser downloads; Exit without saving deletes that draft.
Your download
One PDF with a visual signature. No digital certificate, signer identity verification, or signature request is provided.
Tips and common issues
Draw clear strokes. A transparent PNG avoids a white background. Only sign documents you are authorized to sign. Editing may invalidate existing digital signatures.
Crop PDF
Adjust the visible page area by cropping PDF margins.
- Input
- Total per task
- 50 MB · 1 files maximum
- Choose one PDF up to 50 MB and select a page to inspect. The initial area covers the full page.
- Drag a corner or edge handle to adjust the crop; drag inside to move it. On mobile, open Settings to enter values and choose this page, all pages, or a range.
- Apply the settings, choose Crop PDF, then download and check the result.
Example use
Reduce white margins on a scanned page to make the document easier to read.
Settings to know
Left, Top, Width, and Height are percentages of the source page. The outside area is dimmed. Undo/Redo restores changes; Reset area selects the full page. On mixed page sizes, the same percentages produce different physical sizes. The preview supports two-finger pinch, Ctrl + wheel, 25–400% zoom controls, and Fit; zoom does not change the output. On mobile, Apply saves settings while Cancel, ×, or Back discards them. Limit: one PDF up to 50 MB and 1,000 pages.
Your download
One PDF with updated visible page boundaries. Pages outside the range stay unchanged. Original content outside the crop remains in the file.
Tips and common issues
Cropping is not permanent redaction: hidden content can be recovered. Do not use it to remove private information. Keep the original; changes may invalidate existing digital signatures.

Settings to know
Passwords support up to 127 UTF-8 bytes. AES-256 encryption adds no extra printing or copying restrictions. Settings appear in the right sidebar on computers and a dialog on phones. Eye icons show or hide passwords. Apply retains choices for this session; Cancel, × or Back restores prior choices. Passwords stay in session memory, are not uploaded or saved as drafts, and are cleared when replacing the file or leaving. Change settings & try again retains the source during the session. The magnifier opens a translucent black preview with pinch, pan and page navigation. The process button stays accessible. Download feedback means the request was sent to the browser; check the file in Downloads.
Your download
One AES-256 encrypted PDF that requires a password to open.
Tips and common issues
Keep your password safe; EbookIndie does not store or recover it. Use a modern PDF reader. Unlock already encrypted PDFs first. Keep the original file.

Your download
One PDF without encryption, retaining its contents and page count.
Tips and common issues
An incorrect password displays a retry message. This tool does not guess or recover forgotten passwords. Use the original app with the correct password for unsupported encryption. Ordinary PDFs do not need unlocking. Open Forgot your password? for tips on contacting the sender, finding an original backup or checking your own password manager.
Back and recovery
Back closes an open menu or dialog first, then focus mode, before asking to leave unfinished work. Cancel keeps the document open. Reloading or closing a tab may show a browser warning; phones cannot guarantee a warning when the browser is stopped. For Edit PDF and Sign PDF, reopen the same tool and choose Continue on a saved draft. Drafts also remain after download until deleted; Exit without saving removes the current draft. Other tools require selecting the source files again after leaving.
Back to top ↑Downloads and ZIP files
- Use Download result to save to your browser’s download location. On phones, check Files, Downloads, or the download list in your browser. Preview result opens a view of the generated output when supported.
- Several output files may be grouped in a ZIP. Extract the ZIP using your device’s file manager before opening the PDFs or images inside.
- The share icon copies the tool page link only. It does not upload or share your processed file.
- Keep the original and check the result, including readability, page order, and digital signatures, before using it.
Install or remove the shortcut
Install EbookIndie PDF Tools for faster access from your computer or phone. It opens the same free web tools and still requires internet. Menu names depend on the browser and device.
- Windows: use Install on your device or the installation menu in Chrome/Edge. Search for EbookIndie PDF Tools in Start and pin it if available. Remove it through Windows Settings → Apps or the browser’s app manager.
- Android: open the browser menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen. To remove it, hold the icon and choose Uninstall or Remove, depending on the type of shortcut.
- iPhone/iPad: use Safari’s Share menu → Add to Home Screen. To remove it, hold the icon and choose Delete App or Delete Bookmark.
- Removing a desktop shortcut alone does not necessarily uninstall the app. PDFs and photos you already downloaded remain on your device.
When something goes wrong
- Check the supported format, maximum file count, and total size. Large documents may require more memory; try fewer files or pages.
- For damaged or unsupported protected PDFs, export a new permitted copy from the original application. Do not expect the tools to remove passwords.
- If a process stalls, cancel it if available. Save any completed result before reloading; selecting files again may be necessary.
- If installation is unavailable, continue in your browser. Tool functionality and file limits remain the same.
